Arts Weeks launches Digital Project: Bloomscape
Participate in Arts Weeks Digital project, Bloomscape on Instagram
While the Birkbeck School of Arts is away from its own home in Gordon Square WC1, join us on over on Instagram (@birkbeck_arts) to remake our Bloomsbury world by contributing a digital photograph of Bloomsbury (from the Tottenham Court Road in the west to the Gray’s Inn Road in the east): it might be a landscape, a building, an interior, a garden, a house, a workplace, a vista or an intimate corner, a recent selfie or an old daguerreotype. This will help us remake and remap one of our favourite places, Bloomsbury, as a digital Bloomscape (with Birkbeck’s School of Arts in Gordon Square at centre stage of course!).
Our digital photoscape of Bloomsbury will be put together an explorable online map, which will be revealed in early July. By remaking Bloomsbury as our own Bloomscape, reflecting people, places, and memories, we will be able to move around the map however we like.
So, with your contribution, any ordinary or extraordinary photographed views will fit together in our beautiful Bloomsbury Bloomscape. And it is also a promise – we’ll be back…. All you have to do is DM one photo of Bloomsbury to us @birkbeck_arts on Instagram.
