Portable induction loops
Birkbeck has 10 portable infra-red induction loops and four portable radio induction loops. These can be used in the smaller classrooms. These work with hearing aids with a t-switch and can be demonstrated by the Disability Office.
The Disability Office, in conjunction with the audio-visual team, can arrange for students to have the use of an induction loop system for their lectures.
