• Wheelchair access to this building is via an external lift.
• Entry to the building is by intercom to the reception desk.
• There is a lift, which is wheelchair-accessible with auditory announcement, braille and tactile buttons. However, on most floors wheelchair users have to use platform lifts to take them from the lift level to the corridor level.
• An infra-red induction loop is available in Room 407.
• Most of the lecture theatres and classrooms are accessible, but there are a small number of rooms in this building that are not wheelchair-accessible, and others whose acoustic or lighting might not be adequate for all users.
• There are accessible toilets on the second floor.
• The lift in this building is not yet suitable for the emergency evacuation of disabled persons, and other strategies would be employed should such action ever be necessary.
