Computing facilities in Birkbeck, Stratford

If you are a Birkbeck student enrolled on a course in Stratford, you will have access to a full range of computing and multimedia facilities in Stratford to support you in your academic work. UEL's facilities at the Stratford campus include 400 networked computers in the Computer and Conference Centre which are available 24 hours a day when not in use for teaching.

In addition, you will have access to around 120 open-access computers situated in the Stratford UEL Library, which are available 24 hours a day during teaching weeks. The network-based computing facilities will provide you with access to the Microsoft Office software suite, specific learning packages, specialist teaching and statistical packages, network printing, and the Internet.

You will also have access to IT support services, including a helpdesk, flexible learning materials to help you to acquire IT skills at your own pace, and a range of information leaflets and guides. A number of assistive technology facilities and technical support is also available for those with disabilities and dyslexia.
