Computing facilities in Birkbeck, central London

We provide general computing facilities in the following buildings (you will need your ITS username and password to log in):

Computer availability: see if any of our computers are available.

All of our computer workstations have USB ports (find out more about buying memory sticks at Birkbeck). But you can also borrow CD burners from the ITS helpdesk (you may be able to book them before you arrive).

Computing facilities in the main building

At the ITS helpdesk, you can get access to scanning facilities and a colour printer.

All of the computers in the main building are set up with Windows XP. You will have access to laser printers, provided you have charged up your print account.

  • The largest room is on the first floor: Room 109
  • Four rooms on the fourth floor: Room 422 (22 PCs), 423 (38 PCs), 413 (28 PCs), 412 (8 PCs) and the assistive technology room
  • Fifth floor: Room 536
  • Birkbeck library: most PCs are found on level 1 of the Library. There are also computers on all floors that you can use for searching the Library catalogue

Assistive technology rooms: in addition to the facilities outlined here, we provide accessibility rooms for disabled users.

Computing facilities at 43 Gordon Square

All of the computers are set up with Windows XP, and you will have access to laser printers, provided you haveĀ charged up your print account.
