Associate student applications
Where space permits, most departments welcome associate students, who may attend parts of a degree programme:
- You may wish to attend a specific course of lectures for general interest, without writing essays or joining discussion groups.
- Alternatively, you may want to participate fully in part of a degree programme: to attend lectures, take part in seminars and practical sessions, and submit written work, without actually proceeding to a degree.
Associate students are normally admitted by interview. Priority for places is given to those intending to complete degrees, so you should check the likely availability of associate places early on with the appropriate admissions tutor.
You can find the department contact details on the online course listings. If they advise that you will be able to apply for a place, you can apply using our associate student application form. ![]()
