Late submission of work for assessment
Any work that is submitted for formal assessment after the published final assessment deadline will be subject to a penalty mark, unless mitigating circumstances have been accepted by the Mitigation Sub-Committee of the Board of Examiners.
You will be notified of two marks via the cover sheet:
- A penalty mark (maximum 40% for undergraduate students or 50% for postgraduate students): if no case is made, or the mitigating circumstances are not accepted, then the penalty mark will stand.
- The 'real' mark that would have been awarded if the work had not been late: if a case is made and accepted, then the Board of Examiners will allow the ‘real’ mark to stand.
