Student orientation event well attended
Almost 2000 students came along to Birkbeck's first college-wide student orientation event last week. The three-day event gave new students a chance to find out about college support services. A series of talks and tours provided an introduction to life at Birkbeck and there were information stands from the Students' Union and Birkbeck's clubs and societies. Initial estimates suggest that the Students' Union had 1600 unique contacts and received 10 times the enquiry forms compared to last year.
