Part of Birkbeck's Diversity Week
Film screening of 'Derek'
Wednesday 17 November
12 noon to 2pm: Room 532, Birkbeck, Malet Street
The first of the Birkbeck Diversity Week screenings we will be Derek by leading contemporary art film maker Isaac Julien.
There will be an introduction to the film by Brian Robinson from the BFI who appeared in the film and knew Derek Jarman.
Following the screening art historian Dr Amna Malik form the Slade School of Fine Art will make a presentation about how Isaac Julian has addressed questions of identity in his work.
