Looking for work experience in the charity sector?

The Development and Alumni Office currently have a part-time volunteering opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated student.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience of working within a busy fundraising and alumni relations team, and to learn more about fundraising and marketing within the third sector.

The position is part-time and unpaid. The post-holder will need to commit to a minimum of 3.5 hours per week (refreshments will be provided during hours of work). The successful candidate must have excellent IT skills, a good level of accuracy and be confident working under pressure and to deadlines.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Updating alumni details on the Raiser’s Edge database
  • Assisting with administration of the College’s annual fundraising telephone campaign
  • Contributing to the production of departmental mailing lists
  • Collating attendance figures for College events
  • Recording gift aid declarations on the database and assisting with the collation of data for gift aid applications to HMRC.
  • Assisting at Development and Alumni events, such as graduation ceremonies
