Critical Thinking I: What is Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is the cornerstone of studying at university. It is an academic skill that encompasses other academic skills (such as reading and note making for academic purposes), and plays a key part in achieving higher grades. This workshop will consider what is meant by critical thinking, and what is expected of you as a critical thinker. You will also encounter the key questions with which to approach critical reading and writing in the initial stages of your studies.

To book a place on this workshop see the current CTPLT - Learning Support timetable or the MyBirkbeck academic development workshops.
