Arts Essay Writing Workshop 5: How to Write Introductions

Workshop 5 arrives, at last, at the writing of Introductions and Conclusions.

As we have already seen, it is not necessary to begin the essay-writing PROCESS by feeling that you need to break your head over an Introduction before you can start planning or writing anything else.

In this workshop, we consider the different 'jobs' performed in essays by Introductions and Conclusions.

We explore different strategies for devising effective Introductions. We learn about the CARS model for structuring an Introduction in an Academic Essay.

This course is not currently timetabled. You can add your name to a waiting list if you are interested in attending at a future date.
