Watson Exhibitions

This bursary was instituted in 1981 by the late Kenneth Watson (BA), a graduate of the College.

The bursaries are open to part-time undergraduate and part-time postgraduate students reading for the BA or MA degree in English, or a degree which includes English as a principal component.  The purpose of the award is to assist students who experience hardship in meeting the costs of part-time study (other than payment of fees), such as the cost of essential books or the cost of travel between home/place of employment and the College to attend lectures.

The value of the award varies according to the circumstances of the successful applicants, but will not normally exceed £60 in any one year.
