| I want to do a BSc but I already have a BA.
Will I be able to get financial support? |
You are only eligible for Government grants if you haven't already done a degree. |
| When do I need to submit my application for financial support? | The Government accepts applications after the start of your undergraduate course or foundation degree.
Find out more about the application deadlines here. |
| I've checked the eligibility guidelines. I am pretty sure I can get a Government fee and course grant.
Do I need to make an appointment with you? |
No, you can enrol online without up-front payment (by selecting the applying for a Government Grant payment option). Then you need to get a copy of the PTG1 application form, complete it and send it to us for authorisation. We will then post it back to you. |
| Does the financial support I get depend on the course I do? | Financial support entitlement differs depending on the level you study. But if you are planning to study a foundation degree or undergraduate degree, it doesn’t matter which one you want to do – it is the person that is funded, not the course.

| I'm getting worried.
I haven’t heard from Student Finance England about my PTG1 grant application, even though I applied three months ago. Can you contact them for me? |
If you haven’t heard back from them, you should follow up the application yourself.
