Eligibility criteria for Birkbeck College Awards
You must:
- be enrolled on either an Undergraduate degree (i.e. BA, BSc, LLB), Foundation Degree or Certificate of Higher Education.
- be a 'Home' student (check our residence requirements)
- normally, meet the following income criteria
Please note: this financial support is not normally for students who already hold a first degree. If you already have a first degree, you should contact the Student Financial Support Office for advice.
Income criteria
To be eligible you must:
- Either be in receipt of one of the following (means-tested) benefits:
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit / Local Housing Allowance
- Income-Based Employment & Support Allowance
- Income-Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Support
- New Deal
- Or your gross annual income for the 2010-2011 financial year (i.e. your income before deductions) should be:
