Greta Dexter Exhibition

Instituted in 1996 under the will of Greta Dexter, formerly a research student in the Department of French.

The Exhibition is open to part-time undergraduate and part-time postgraduate students reading for a first or a higher degree in French, or which includes French as a principal component. Students must be 21 years old or over, and be in part-time or full-time employment.

Its purpose is to relieve financial hardship in respect of the payment of part-time fees, the purchase of books or the cost of travel associated with the student’s studies.

Awards will be made according to the circumstances of the successful applicant, but will not normally exceed £1000.

Students interested in being considered for a Greta Dexter Exhibition should contact the Head of French Programmes in the first instance.
