Commonwealth scholarships

  • Who: Candidates from Australia, Brunei, Canada, Cyprus, Malta, New Zealand, Singapore and the Bahamas
  • What: Fees and maintenance
  • Eligible Birkbeck courses: See the courses listed for the College Research Studentship, all of which are valid for this funding.

Jason Schone award

  • Who: PhD Law students
  • What: Full-time or part-time tuition fees at the EU/home student rate. In addition:
  • for full-time students: a contribution to subsistence may be made.
    for part-time students: there may be some assistance with research cost

Law Taught Postgraduate Fee Awards for Master’s students

  • Who: Law master's students with outstanding academic merit and research potential
  • What: Fees at the full-time home student rate for one year or at the part-time home student rate for two years.
  • Eligible Birkbeck courses: Criminal Law and Criminal Justice (MA/LLM); Human Rights (MA/LLM); Law (MRes); Law and Political Justice (LLM)
