Eligibility criteria

You must:

  1. be enrolled on a part-time undergraduate degree (i.e. BA, BSc, LLB, FD or Certificate of Higher Education).
  2. be a 'Home' student (check our residence requirements) and have lived ordinarily in the UK for three years before the start of the course or hold EEA migrant worker status or have been granted refugee status.
  3. have applied for and received a Government fee and/or course grant (if eligible)
  4. normally, meet the following income criteria

Income criteria

To be eligible you must:

  1. Either be in receipt of one of the following (means tested) benefits:
    • Council Tax Benefit
    • Housing Benefit
    • Income-Based Employment And Support Allowance
    • Income Based Job Seeker’s Allowance
    • Income Support
    • New Deal Allowance
  2. Or your gross annual income for the 2010-2011 financial year (i.e. your income before deductions) should be:

Less than £30,065

One dependent child

Less than £30,065

Less than £32,065

Two dependent children

Less than £31,065
