Rebecca Wright

Rebecca Wright is a PhD candidate at the London Consortium, Birkbeck College in Humanities and Cultural Studies. Her AHRC-funded research explores the representation of energy in interwar American thought. She has a BA from Nottingham University and an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art in Art History. In 2013-2014 she was AHRC fellow at the Library of Congress. Within the project, Rebecca is focussing on energy futures, looking especially at the role of the World Energy Council and international organisations in producing forecasts, and at the role of experts and popular/media representations of imagined life-styles. She is co-author (with Frank Trentmann and Hiroki Shin) of From World Power Conference to World Energy Council: 90 Years of Energy Cooperation, 1923-2013 (London: The World Energy Council, 2013).
