Dr. Ellen Pei-yi Yu joined Birkbeck in September 2015 as a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management. Ellen’s current research interests include ESG relevant topics, hybrid bank capital securities, banks’ executive compensation and asset management. She obtained her PhD in Finance from the University of Birmingham. Ellen’s recent publications include papers in the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Investing, and the Journal of Fixed Income. She is a member of the German Finance Association, US Financial Management Association and British Academy of Management.
