Dr. Ellen Pei-yi Yu joined Birkbeck in September 2015 as a Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Management. Ellen’s current research interests include ESG topics (environmental, social responsibility and governance), asset management, hybrid bank capital securities, and the design of executive compensation pay. She obtained her PhD in Finance from the University of Birmingham. Ellen’s recent publications include papers in the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Investing, and the Journal of Fixed Income.
