Biography

Grazia Ietto-Gillies was born in Calabria. After a thesis with Bruno de Finetti at La Sapienza University in Rome and a year study at the Massachussets Institute of Technology she worked as a research officer for ISCO (Istituto Congiuntura) in Rome and as a lecturer for the University of Siena. Moving to London she worked for London South Bank University (formerly Polytechnic). She headed the School of International Business and Languages and established the Centre for International Business Studies (CIBS) of which she has been Director up to 2010. She is now Emeritus Professor of Applied Economics. She is one of the initiators of the World Economics Association for which she continues voluntary work (www.worldeconomicsassociation.org).
