Support and Leadership Development for School Managers

All School Managers participated in a programme of orientation, support and leadership development.  The programme commenced in May 2009.       

Programme content

The programme included residential events, internal events, briefings and the option of coaching.  The events are:

• Orientation to the role of School Manager – 15 May 2009
• The Student Experience Workshop – 27 May 2009
• Leadership event (Ashridge Business School) – 16 & 17 June 2009
• Team building, people & performance management – 6 & 7 July, plus 16 September 2009
• Strategic Leadership (Ashridge Business School) – 26 & 27 January 2010

We have also provided follow-up residentials:

• School Managers Annual Residential Event (Ashridge Business School) – 12 & 13 July 2010
• School Managers Annual Residential Event - 28-29 June 2011.

The programme will continue to evolve.  

Providers

The programme is delivered by members of the Learning and Organisational Development Team, senior members of the College staff, facilitators from Roffey Park and an independent external consultant Richard Tickner.
