Learning at work day
The 2008 Learning at Work event?
On Thursday 22nd May Birkbeck held its 4th Learning at Work Day, Well-being Day. This event was a great success attended by more than 80 members of staff. The event aimed to provide members of staff with an opportunity to reflect on ways of managing their mental, physical and emotional well-being.
As part of our continued commitment to meet the needs of the individuals working at Birkbeck we would like to invite you to submit your views/ideas on the theme for next year's Learning at Work Day event. To register your ideas please submit a feedback form.
What is Learning at Work day?
National Learning at Work Day is an annual awareness campaign, promoting and supporting workplace learning events across England. It is organised nationally by the Campaign for Learning.
This annual event's aim is to focus on the importance of learning in the workplace. Organisations vary the theme from year to year around their own organisation to help members of staff learn new skills that they can put into practice at work.
In 2007 an estimated 6,300 organisations took part including large corporations, SMEs, public sector organisations and government departments.
