I am currently working on a book provisionally entitled International Art Nouveau for Bloomsbury Academic.
Alongside this I am working on a collection of essays Imagined Cosmopolis: Internationalism and Cultural Exchange 1870-1920, which should be published in Sept 2019.
In 2018 I also joined scholars of Scandinavian design convening in Los Angeles to consult on the contents of the upcoming LACMA and Milwaukee Art Museum exhibition: Scandinavian Design and the United States.
I have participated in a number of Research Networks, some of which are ongoing:

I completed my PhD in 2007 in the School of Art History at the University of St Andrews. My thesis was supervised by Dr Jeremy Howard and entitled: Words and Deeds: National Style Versus Modernity 1890-1916: The Writings and Work of Vilho Penttilä and the Architecture of Financial Institutions
I then went on to become Post-doctoral Research Fellow on AHRC-funded project, The Viennese Café and Fin-de-siècle Culture, Royal College of Art, London. I was curator of the project’s exhibition, Vienna Café 1900. London (2008) and Washington (2010).
