Gateways to law resources

Bailii (British & Irish Legal Information Institute) - Provides access to the most comprehensive set of freely available British and Irish primary legal materials on the Internet. BAILII also provides links to materials from overseas, the system currently contains overĀ 200 000 searchable documents covering 7 jurisdictions.

BUBL Information Service - Contains links to selected web resources covering all academic subject areas. Law can be found within the Social Sciences.

Eagle-i - List of web links maintained by the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. This service is being expanded to include material formerly added to the Intute database (which ceased to be updated in July 2011).

Electronic Information System for International Law - A gateway providing links to web sites on all aspects of International law, including International Organisations, Communications and Transport and Human Rights.

LawBore - Based at City University this web site provides links to material on a range of legal subjects. Please note: as a Birkbeck student you do not have access to City University electronic databases because of licence restrictions.

Lawlinks - An annotated list of web sites compiled by library staff at the University of Kent. Please note: as a Birkbeck student you do not have access to University of Kent electronic databases because of licence restrictions.

Worldlii - A sister database to Bailii, Worldlii provides links to primary legal materials for a number of jurisdictions. It also links to law-related web sites for the majority of countries worldwide.
