Finding journal articles on my topic

There are 3 pages on this subject, please use the arrows at the foot of the page to navigate.

Accessing electronic resources
To find journal articles on your topic you can use electronic journals and databases.

Where can I use them?
Most of the Library's electronic resources can be used anywhere with access to the Internet. So you can use them in the Library, anywhere in College and, if you have access to the Internet, from your home or workplace as well. You will usually need a username and password to verify that you are a Birkbeck student.

What usernames and passwords do I need for access?
The main username and password you will need is:

Your IT Services username and password
An ITS username and password enables you to log on to College computers and also allows access to many Library resources from outside the College. This will be sent to you at the beginning of your course by ITS.

Some services require other usernames and passwords - please ask in the Library for these.

The next pages give you more information about electronic journals and databases.
