What Does it Cover?
Over 5,100 images of London Architecture and urban spaces from the 16th to 21st centuries. Most images contained in the collection constitute digitised slides from the former Central Slide Library at Birkbeck.
Using the Collection
The LUNA user interface to the Insight Software Suite, in which London Architecture Online is developed, is rich in tools and functionalities that will allow you to explore the collection thoroughly and dynamically. If you just wish to browse and search the collection, view the images and their metadata in detail, and print or export images you don’t need to register. In order to create private groups, slide shows and presentations, to export them to PowerPoint, to share them with other collection users, and to add images from Flickr to your personal workspace, you will need to register in LUNA by setting up your private user name and password (in the top right corner of the collection). This is instantaneous and will give you more tools for using the collection.
