Birkbeck students with extensions or writing up dissertations

Masters students

Masters students will have Library access until the 31st of December. Masters students with extensions beyond the end of December must have their College records extended to continue using the Library. For this, they would need a valid current enrolment and should contact their Course administrator to arrange this.

Undergraduate students

Undergraduate students will have Library access until 31st of October. Students with extensions beyond this date must have their College records extended to continue to use the Library. For this, they would need a valid current enrolment and should contact their Course administrator to arrange this.

Certificate and short course students

The Library receives end dates automatically and these are set to 28 days after the course finishes. For those on courses whose CATS points are equal or greater than 60, access is to the end of September. If students need extensions due to mitigating circumstances, their Course Administrator may authorise IT helpdesk staff to apply this.

Once your extension or writing up status has been arranged by your department you will have full Library and eLibrary access.
