BookMyne

BookMyne is an app for Apple and Android devices developed by SirsiDynix, the suppliers of the Horizon Library Management System used at Birkbeck.

You can obtain BookMyne from the Apple Store and from the Android Market place. It is important to be aware that we did not create this app and that it is still very much under development. Despite some issues it is functional and will enable you to search the catalogue and to manage your library account.

BookMyne comes with a manual but some basic setup instructions can be found here.

The major limitations that we have noted are that the display of information about books is not as complete as on the main catalogues, in particular the edition information is missing, and that there are some issues concerning the creation and editing of book lists. Our advice at the moment is not to use the book lists if you already have lists created on the standard catalogue.

We would very much welcome your feedback on the BookMyne app which we will pass back to SirsiDynix to help with further development.

There is an update of Bookmyne (Apple version) available from the App Store. We have also applied a server update which appears to have resolved some issues users were having with connecting if they had blocks or messages on their record.
