Borrowing

What can I borrow?

You can borrow books, videos, DVDs and CDs from the Library. Find out what we have by using the Library catalogue (click on the Catalogue tab above). Undergraduate/Foundation degree/Certificate/Diploma students can have up to 10 items on loan at any one time. Postgraduate students can have 15 items and staff 20. Affiliate/visiting borrowers can borrow 5 items (excluding 1 day loans)

How long can I borrow for?

Most of our material is for three week loan, but we also have material that is one week loan, one day loan and some material (marked Reference) cannot be borrowed at all

Do you charge fines?

Fines are charged on overdue material  - more details on fines

How do I renew?

You can renew 1 week and 3 week loan material that is not reserved by another reader online or by telephone. One day loans can't be renewed. More details on renewing.

Can I reserve books that are out on loan?

You can place a reservation if all loan copies of an item are currently out on loan - more details on reservations
