With the publication of The Metric Tide: Report of the Independent Review of the Role of Metrics in Research Assessment and Management; the launch of the website; and an article by Jump (2015) in the Times Higher Education: 'Metrics: How to Handle Them Responsibly', there are now some useful resources to help avoid the use of misleading or misunderstood indicators in research and higher education
