Dr Deborah Grange

PhD (London), CPsychol, FHEA, CMALT

Deborah Grange is a Senior Learning Development Tutor (Technology Enhanced Learning), based in the Centre and working across the College. She offers training and advice to colleagues interested in any aspect of technology enhanced teaching and learning, with particular interests in flexible and blended learning, innovative assessment techniques, accessibility, and online assignment submission and feedback systems.

Deborah offers bespoke training for individuals, departments and academic teams, as well as a program of workshops for postgraduate students. She also contributes to Birkbeck's PGCE:HE. Before transferring to the Centre, Deborah worked in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems where she was part of the team that introduced the Foundation Degree in IT to Birkbeck. Prior to working at Birkbeck, she was a Computing Teaching Officer at Oxford University, where she taught academics and students from all areas of the University. She also co-wrote and taught on Oxford's Diploma in Computing, which was one of the University's first online courses. Deborah has a PhD in cognitive psychology from Birkbeck, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Chartered Psychologist and a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology.
