Student Support

  • We are experts in understanding our students' needs and providing appropriate support:
  • Personal tutors: All students are assigned a personal tutor for the duration of their studies. The function of the personal tutor is to provide one-on-one academic support and guidance.
  • Learning Development Tutor: The role of the Academic Support Officer is to support students in their studies and ensure that support structures are in place to provide students with every opportunity to be successful in their studies.
  • Please contact us if you have any specific support enquiries.

  • School of Law students have the opportunity to apply for a summer vacation scheme at a Law firm, increasing their likelihood of obtaining a Training Contract.
  • Every year, we run careers evenings for our current students, where we invite relevant law colleges and graduates of our courses to give students more information on potential law careers.
  • Birkbeck Talent is Birkbeck's in-house professional recruitment service aimed exclusively at assisting Birkbeck students, during and after their studies, to gain relevant work experience that will give them a further advantage in an increasingly competitive jobs market.
  • Birkbeck's Careers and Employability Service provides comprehensive careers, recruitment and employability advice, events and information services for our students, both online and face-to-face.
