Areas of research supervision

My research interests include:

  • feminist and queer theory
  • criminal law and criminal justice
  • 19th-century regulatory frameworks and legal theory

I have successfully supervised an ESRC postgraduate student at Lancaster University, who has completed and received a PhD on a theoretical and practical understanding of domestic violence. I am currently supervising students in the areas of:

  • feminism and development
  • criminal justice: domestic violence and female prisons

I am interested in supervising postgraduate students in the areas of gender and sexuality, political theory and practice.

If you are interested in pursuing research in any of these areas, you should first read our advice on how to apply for MPhil/PhD research before submitting an application.
