Biographical details

Daniel Monk, LLB (University of Warwick), LLM (London School of Economics), Solicitor. Daniel joined the Law School as a Lecturer in January 2003. He was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2006 and to Reader in Law in 2012. From 1996–2002 he was a lecturer in law at Keele University. Daniel is the current director of the Birkbeck Institute of Gender and Sexuality (BIGS). See: http://www.bbk.ac.uk/bisr/bigs/

Daniel’s research has contributed to debates about will-writing and inheritance, home-education, homophobic bullying, and he has contributed to numerous radio programmes, including Moral Maze and Bringing up Britain.
