Frederick is completing his PhD in postcolonial theory and the law of International Organisations at Birkbeck where he was an associate lecturer in Tort Law for several years before starting his current post.

His responsibilities include co-coordinating the LLB and LLM Tort law module, convening the LLB Human Rights module and for the 2014-15 academic year Public International Law. He is the Second Year Tutor and is working on a number of research projects on the history and theory of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Previously Frederick worked as a legal advisor for NGOs specialising in International Human Rights Law. Prior to working at Birkbeck he was a lecturer in law at Greenwich School of Management where he was the head of Tort Law on the LLB Programme and lectured in Human Rights.
