Professor Salecl was awarded the title Slovenian Woman Scientist of the Year by the Slovenian Ministry of Science on 21 October 2010 and the Slovenian award for the most successful woman of the last year issued by Ona Plus at the International women's day ceremony which was attended by the President of Slovenia.
