Should approval be granted to establish a new post, managers should check whether a JDD has been submitted for this post. If a generic JDD has been submitted, you won’t need to submit a further JDD as a job evaluation score for this post will already exist and the new starter will be assigned to this JDD and score.
Similarly if the post is currently vacant, but a JDD was submitted with a previous jobholder in post, it won’t be necessary to submit a further JDD as a score will already exist and this will be attributed to the new jobholder.
If the new post is a completely new job, please submit a JDD to the project team as soon as practicable via email to jobevaluation@bbk.ac.uk and hardcopy to the HR team. Prior to implementation of the new pay and grading structure, the grade of a new job will need to be agreed under current processes using the present staff category based payscales.
