***UPGRADE COMPLETE*** System upgrade work 19th November

UPDATE (19 Nov 18:00): The upgrade work has been successfully completed.

From 18:00 on 18 November, to 09:00 on 20 November, a number of our services will be unavailable.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this necessary upgrade work may cause you. We are working to keep the period of disruption to a minimum.

For prospective students, applicants, students and Be Birkbeck members this includes:

  • My Birkbeck Profile – including personal timetables

  • Modular Enrolment

  • Programme Enrolment

  • Programme Application

  • The Applicant Portal

  • www.bbk.ac.uk/ask

  • Register Bank Details (for payment of Birkbeck Bursaries)

  • Be Birkbeck

  • Self-service functionality provided on PCs and Kiosks in the My Birkbeck Student Centre, University Square Stratford and Main Building foyer – including personal timetable displays (alternative information and explanatory messages will be displayed where possible)

For staff this also includes:

  • GURU and the BSIS portal

  • Publications Database

  • Bizagi

  • Teaching Resource Manager

The following systems will operate a reduced service during the period of the upgrade:

  • Tableau – the data from SITS will not be updated during the upgrade, but the reports will continue to be available to run against static data

  • Moodle – available, but no changes to modules or module registrations will be made in Moodle during the downtime

  • The IDB – available, but no changes to student/customer data will be made during the downtime and therefore no new student accounts will be generated during this period
