Update: Mail problems this morning

 

After detailed investigation the mail problems are now fixed.

The problem started around 1.00am this morning and was resolved at around 10.30 this morning.

This affected all incoming messages adressed with a "." before the "@" (generally messages sent to 'initial.surname' addresses), these messages will have 'bounced', and a non-delivery report sent to the sender.

Internal messages and messages sent to lists were also affected, and many of these message may have been lost, without a non-delivery report being generated.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may well have caused.
