Retirement Options

The employee and their line manager should meet to discuss arrangements for retirement and the options available. This discussion should take place as soon as it is clear that retirement is being considered by the employee. This discussion should consider:
  •  the intended retirement date;
  •  succession planning;
  •  handover plans;
  •  phased retirement, where appropriate;
  •  pension benefits – as this is a personal matter, the employee should discuss it directly with their HR Manager and/or Finance.
