Research interests

Dr Cook works on the  history of sexuality and gender in nineteenth and twentieth century Britain, on the history of London, and on histories of home and family. He is currently working on a book and a series of articles exploring queer families and domesticity in the twentieth century.

He is also editing books on the queer 1950s (with Heike Bauer, Birkbeck) and on queer Europe since the second world war (with Jennifer Evans, Carlton, Canada).
