Richard Cox Postgraduate Conference prize won by PhD student Clare Roche

History PhD student Clare Roche has been award was the Richard Cox Postgraduate Conference prize given by the British Society of Sports History at their annual conference. It was awarded for the best paper submitted by a doctoral student- (word length 6000). The paper was entitled 'Women Climbers 1850-1900. Challenging the Male Hegemony?' The paper will now be published in their journal Sport in History.
