Geographic Information Science

GISc evening taught (GISc ET)

Master of Science (MSc) / Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) / Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert)
in Geographic Information Science (GISc)

Geographic information science (GISc) is the theory, practice and effective use of technologies such as geographical information systems (GIS) for the description, explanation, and prediction of spatial patterns and processes.

Our  programme is tailored for people without previous experience with GIS as well as those who have had some experience but want to further develop their theoretical and practical knowledge in GIS. We offer flexibility to transfer between programmes.

The programme is taught via an evening meeting once a week.  Learning materials are delivered in advance using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE.) This programme brings our long-term tradition of GIS teaching to a group of students that value face-to-face support.
