Geology at Birkbeck ranked sixth in national subject league tables
We're pleased to announce that Geology has been placed sixth in the subject league tables from the Complete University Guide.
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences was awarded sixth place for the study of Geology in the latest university and subject league tables from the Complete University Guide.
Professor Gerald Roberts, Head of Department, commented: 'I am delighted with our 6th place out of 29. It demonstrates the long-term commitment we have to excellence in teaching and research, with a view towards passing this on to students with non-traditional backgrounds.'
This independent guide to university and subject excellence was launched in 2007, building on Mayfield Consultants’ work in compiling league tables which began in 1995. One of its key aims is to provide free access to this information through its website.
