Programme structure

The foundation degree in Media and Business Applications is a flexible professional development programme, which offers advanced courses in media theory, multimedia, management and IT user skills. The aim is to enhance career progression by providing the underpinning academic and technical skill required by the highly competitive media industry.

You need to pass a total of 8 modules to gain the Media and Business Applications Foundation Degree. The modules are graded at undergraduate level 4 and 5. You take four modules at each level. In addition, throughout the Foundation Degree, all students take a Personal Development Planning module in each year.

Year 1 (starting January)

On successful completion of the first year of the programme, students are required to select two pathways which they follow for the remainder of the course - one theoretical pathway and one practical pathway.
