 Why attend?

In this workshop, we want to provide students with a disability or neurodiverse condition with strategies and tips in how to best market their unique skills and experience to succeed in a competitive job market.

What we’ll cover:

We will look at how to present your skills and experience of managing your disability as a strength on applications.

·        Has your disability meant you have gaps in your CV and you are not sure how to go about explaining them?

·        Have your grades been impacted by your disability and you want advice on how to present that?

·        Has your disability meant that you have not been able to get as much work experience as you would like?

We will explore how you can approach these questions and present your experience to potential employers.

Key takeaway:

You will feel more confident in how to present yourself when making applications and answering questions in interview.

If you have any accessibility or support requirements for the event, please email employability@bbk.ac.uk to let us know or arrange to have a conversation about them.

*This event and programme are only open to Birkbeck students and recent graduates who have a disability or neurodiverse condition*

Birkbeck Futures Workshops are interactive sessions and we encourage you to come prepared to ask questions and share your thoughts on the topics at hand. We'd also suggest checking out the associated resources on the Careers Portal which you can access through your MyBirkbeck profile.
