Sustainable Christmas Market

Venue: Senate House
Booking details: Free entry; booking recommended

Come and join us this year for a Sustainable Christmas Market!

We are bringing a Christmas market on Campus! and not just any Christmas market, but one that will be packed with sustainable products, from creative people across London.

Although most of us only see the bright side of Christmas, the reality is that Christmas can also be very wasteful and energy intensive if not planned properly. We are hoping that our market will give you the opportunity of finding a handmade, locally produced gift for your loved ones (or yourself!) while having a go at Christmas Card making and enjoying live Christmas Carols at lunchtime - courtesy of University of London Choir Group.

Some of our stall holders include:

  • Toast Ale - Award winning social enterprise which crafts beer (yes, delicious beer) made out of surplus bread;
  • Stand4 Socks - Award winning social enterprise designing socks that save the world
  • SaboonAlee - Handmade soaps
  • SensFood start-up - Snack bars made with cricket flour
  • ColourfulCreationHome - Ethical Homeware made from sustainable biodegradable Bamboo
  • UoL staff Tara and John - Handmade Bow Ties and Moustache Wax made with UoL wax
  • BBK staff Delia - Upcycled glass jars into mini Air Plant terrariums
  • SOAS staff Lisa, Angel and Tania - Handmade Crafts and Baked goods
  • LSHTM staff Tania - Homemade jams and chutney

++ more!
