What is Pioneer?

Pioneer is a dedicated short course for individuals who want to develop the knowledge and skills to excel as an entrepreneur. It's suitable for those with a business idea, are in the early stages of starting up a venture or are keen to set something up in the near future.

It's an exciting, motivating and invaluable series of monthly workshops that will give you the head start you need to make your business a success.

About Session Four

Learn about the art of pitching your business in this session, crucial for presenting your business in the best way to potential investors and audiences of all shapes and sizes.

You'll be networking with likeminded individuals who are all part of the Pioneer community, supporting each other to progress and succeed with their business ideas.

What can I expect?

Every Pioneer session is delivered by an entrepreneur or expert in their field, often with more than one speaker, who will take you through an engaging, informative and practical session filled with tips and advice from those who have been there and done it.

If you're committed to making your business idea a success, we recommend experiencing the Full Pioneer Course, which is a 7-part programme consisting of a monthly workshop between November 2019 and May 2020.

Additional topics include Marketing Your Start-up, Lean Business, Pitching Skills, Funding Sources and more.

Where can I find out more?

We've been running Pioneer for 3 years at Birkbeck for our entrepreneurial students - thanks to its success and the brilliant feedback, we're now opening it up to the public for the first time so that other budding entrepreneurs can benefit from the programme.

Check out last year's kick off session here and the course celebration event here.
