Dame Margaret Hodge discusses her career in politics and her 2016 book, Called to Account: How Corporate Bad Behaviour and Government Waste Combine to Cost us Millions. She will be interviewed by Birkbeck Professor of Gender and Politics Sarah Childs.

Dame Hodge has been MP for Barking since 1994 and was Chair of the Public Accounts Committee from 2010 to 2015. She was a minister in the Blair and Brown governments, holding various portfolios including as the first Children's Minister from 2003 to 2005.
